Cernis SP PCIe switch is an ultra-rugged networking hub for AI compute disaggregation which incorporates the advanced features of the NVIDIA Orin Nano with a PCIe switch to offer high-throughput and low latency connectivity for up to eight upstream or downstream devices. The PCIe switch architecture is well positioned for applications which aggregate high resolution sensor data and need to inference and communicate the results to downstream devices such as workstation positions throughout a vehicle. Through the disaggregation of PCIe devices, the compute can be placed closer to the source or destination of the data—optimizing the efficiency and minimizing the latency of data communication. Cernis additionally incorporates advanced features such as time sensitive networking (TSN) and PCIe multicast in order to synchronize the data communication and reduce the number of inefficient unicast data transfers. With its ultra-rugged design, Cernis is best positioned as the compute hub of a scale-out disaggregated PCIe solution in vehicles or environments where enterprise components would not survive.
