The Golden Dome Mission

Golden Dome is a next-generation, layered homeland defense architecture connecting sensors, data, command and control, and defensive capabilities across domains.

Delivering this level of defense requires closing the gap between innovation and warfighter execution by moving new capabilities from development to operational environments at the speed of need. Golden Dome’s ecosystem is designed to accelerate collaboration across government, industry, and nontraditional technology providers, helping turn emerging capabilities into mission-ready solutions faster.

At the tactical edge, the warfighter requires high-performance computing and real-time processing of received sensor data to fuse, enhance and analyze in order to turn distributed data into actionable intelligence where and when it matters most.

Where OSS Fits in the Golden Dome Architecture

Golden Dome is a family of systems working across the kill chain, from threat detection and tracking to command, control, and engagement. We provide the rugged computing and data infrastructure that move mission data through these layers at the speed of need.

01 – FIND & FIX

Turn distributed sensor data into a clear picture of potential threats. We enable high-performance, low-latency signal processing and sensor fusion at the edge, helping systems identify, correlate, and establish the location of threats as data is generated.

02 – TRACK & Target

Maintain a continuous, data-driven understanding of the threat as it moves through the battlespace. We provide the compute performance, data movement, and real-time inferencing needed to process complex sensor inputs, maintain tracks, and support timely targeting decisions.

03 – ENGAGE & ASSESS

Support the transition from decision to kinetic and non-kinetic action, rapidly evaluating what happens next. We enable high-speed processing, secure data handling, and low-latency distribution of mission data so information can move between systems and decision points without a bottleneck of latent data.

Proven Performance at the Tactical Edge

MDA Threat Simulation

Our hardware is currently used to run inbound-threat simulations for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The system recently received a Gen5 refresh with the latest processors for faster, lower-latency performance, supporting complex environments for both training and operations.

U.S. Navy P-8A program

We supply the U.S. Navy with flash storage systems capable of securely recording and storing large amounts of data in hot-swappable canisters. This allows the data to be analyzed live and reduces reliance on legacy processes requiring data to be processed post-flight.

Holoscan Picture Distribution

Essential for accurate targeting; NVIDIA Holoscan technology, powered by the OSS Torrey 2U SDS, distributes the same tactical picture across a command center in real time, enabling real-time decision-making when it matters most.
